Dose he really like me?

Ok so I'm 13 and I really like this one guy. He always smiles at me and I c him a lot at school and even outside of school like at field trips and the grocery store. All of his friends and my friends say that he really likes me but sometimes he is nice and talks to me when we r alone or away from people but when we r around his friends and just normal people who go to my school he is different like he ignores me and is always like making fun of me but in a jokeingly kind of way. What should I do?? Should I just keep talking to him or just move on to someone else?? Please help. Thanks!
